On a Journey

It's been a while since I've had anything to say here. The last couple of years have been quite the maelstrom of change. It's caused me to take a step back and to reevaluate what I'm doing here, as a person, as an artist.

I recently celebrated a birthday, and with my new year on this rock I started taking photos again. Some of those are already out there on the net, more will be coming as I finish them off. This year is going to be about the hunt, the hunt for my soul. Welcome aboard, I'm sure it's going to be an interesting ride.

a Quick Recap

Hello again my fellow Junkies. I've been gone so long, I figured some catch-up was in order. The last year was a huge year for me. I moved from the remote edge of the East Bay to San Francisco proper, worked to find myself as an artist and as a person. Come the start of this year the house I was renting was foreclosed, I took a trip to LA, and was forced to move out. For now the East Bay is home again, but who knows for how long.

Which brings me to the new project, my new print store-

Yes, it's been a long while. Life took some crazy turns, turned things upside-down, and things are only now starting to settle down. Soon I'll have some new photo gems for you, but not today. Today I'm working on my print store. Yes, that's right, now you can own some of these photos to hang in your own home!

The Place I Call Home

Home to me is the San Francisco Bay Area. I am a 3rd generation San Franciscan by birth, but I've spent by far most of my time in the East Bay. Berkeley, Oakland and the lands that lay beyond the Caldecott Tunnel are the places I know the best and spend the most time in. I do love these places like none other, and I also love to show them off-

So... as I sit at my soon to be old desk at my soon to be ex-employer, I figured now would be a good time to get this out of the way. Here are some big things to know about yours truly.

My Plight

Hello Interweb. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gunz, and I'm a photo junkie.

In just 11 days I'll be setting off on my own as my current full time employer will be giving me (and several others) the axe. Most people have expressed their condolences for this, but really it's all for the best. Not only will I now have the time I need to devote to Photography, I'll also have the time to explore all sorts of new places, and take photos of them. This blog is will be devoted to those adventures, and the photos I find during them. Many stories and adventures await, so settle down and enjoy them with me.
